From memories of Melba Fugal Gooch: He came to Utah when he was 19 . He worked
in the quarry at Little Cottonwood Canyon getting out stone for the S alt Lake
Temple. His wife died and left him with 6 children. He then marrie d Johanna
whom the kids called "Aunt Hannah." They worked in the Salt Lake Tem ple. He
loved to sing. His last home was in Pleasant Grove, Utah where he di ed of a
heart attack at the age of 73.
