Parish Register of Sovde (0147196) says Nils Carlsson and Anna Hansda tter from
Nafrod had an illegitimate son, Nils, b. 31 Aug. 1841 in Sovde, died . 29 Jul
1848 at age 7.
Par. Rec. of Sovde (0147195), p. 65 states Nils Carlsson, Farmer,
unmarried, moved to Skarby 21 Nov. 1842. Address: No. 2 Tagmasa. Th en on p.
95 it states that he and his wife, Karna, moved to Skarby 25 Oct. 284 7 with
their son, Isak, b. 27 Jan. 2845 in Sofde.
The Americanized spelling for Nils Carlsson is Neils Carlson.
The name Romare was a name given to him in the army. It means "Roman " in
Swedish.
Marriage: Par. Rec. of Sovde (0147196), married 22 Nov. 1844 in Sovde , son
of Carl Anderson and Estred Isaksson, married to Karna Hansdatter fro m Sovde.
Their son Isak was born 27 Jan. 1845 in Sovde.
Membership records of Langarod, 1858-1861 (0359465) p. 220 say Nils C arlsson
came from Skarby in 1859.
Viggarum Branch Records (0082935) p. 183 say Nils Carlsson was baptiz ed
13 July 1859 in Langarod by L. Dahlquist. Confirmed 13 July 1859.
Emmigrated 20 June 1872.
Shipping Records, say he sailed on the ship "Nevada" 26 June 1872 with
his wife, Karen Carlson and their sons, Jacob and Isaac.
Pleasant Grove Cemetery Records (Utah P7b, p. 25) state Niels Carlson , b. 4
Mar. 1822 in Sweden, son of Carl and Estre Anderson, died 20 July 190 1 and is
buried in Block 15, Lot. 11
